Little Free Libraries started as a movement to provide access to literacy in any community. Their vision is a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. They believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege.
Coppell is privileged to have 18 Little Free Libraries throughout our community. These are small, outdoor, book-sharing boxes where people leave books for others to take, trade, or borrow freely. They operate on a “take a book, leave a book” honor system. These libraries are community-run and Friends of the Coppell Public Library volunteer-maintained. They are located in front yards, parks, and schools. Contact us if you wish to become a Little Free Library Steward.
